Visit parts of the North Norfolk Railway not normally open
to the public!
On selected Wednesday evenings in May, June and July we will
be operating Behind The Scenes Tours of the railway.
Departing from Sheringham station at 18.30, passengers will travel on our vintage Diesel Multiple Unit or Diesel Railbus, both offering superb panoramic views of the beautiful Norfolk countryside. The train will go through to Holt before returning as far as Weybourne.
Here you will get the rare opportunity to have a guided tour
of our locomotive and carriage sheds. There will also be an
opportunity to visit the signalbox at this station. The buffet
at Weybourne will be open selling light refreshments.
The train will then return to Sheringham, arriving at approximately
20.45.
Guided Tours Of Sheringham Park
For 2009 we have an alternative itinerary available on selected
Behind The Scenes Tours. On 6 May and 24 June visitors can
combine a train ride to Weybourne with a guided tour of the
National Trust's Sheringham Park.
Passengers who choose this option will travel from Sheringham
to Weybourne before alighting and walking to Sheringham Park.
They will then return to Weybourne in time to catch the train
back to Sheringham at approximately 20.30.
To book for the tour of Sheringham Park please call 01263
820800.
