Altogether Now! - 23 - 25 May 2009
A fun weekend designed especially for families.
We will be building on our successful children's weekends
in 2008 during two further weekends in 2009.
Wanted - Children to help run the Poppy Line!
Here's a rather special half term treat! The Poppy Line is
offering children the chance to help run the railway and learn
more about what goes on behind the scenes. Altogether Now
is happening this Spring Bank Holiday - Saturday, Sunday and
Monday 23 - 25 May.
Kids will have a great time finding out how to work the signal
box, helping the guard flag the train away, seeing how to
make a steam engine go, giving a hand with the luggage, helping
to issue tickets, and even making their own special picnic.
On all three days steam trains run every 45 minutes from
Sheringham and Holt.
It promises to be a uniquely different family weekend - and
one that will give the kids (and Dads and Grandpas) memories
to treasure.

Thomas Events
Statement from the Managing Director:
"The North Norfolk Railway has been unable to conclude
an agreement with ‘HIT Entertainment Group’ for
a licence to hold Thomas events for the foreseeable future.
We, together with a number of other steam railways in
the same position, are disappointed with this, and the position
that HIT entertainment has taken.
However we are pleased to announce that we will be holding
an alternative Family
Weekend.
