Full steam ahead over Half term week.
The North Norfolk Railway will be running a steam and diesel train service between the 10th and 18th of February.
Head to the NNR for a fabulous day out for the whole family this half term. Travel along the picturesque North Norfolk coastline aboard our heritage carriages hauled by ‘Black Prince’* or trundle down the line in our vintage Diesel Unit which boasts panoramic views of the surrounding countryside.
Stop off at one of our refreshment and souvenir rooms for a well-earned cuppa before taking the little ones to the children’s play area at Holt or the Children’s coach at Sheringham. Discover the history of the line at the William Marriott Museum and marvel at our model railways in Holt (located in the Suburban coach) and at Weybourne.
Time travel along the line, from the last days of steam at 1950s BR Sheringham, drop into the 1930s with the LNER at Holt and go all the way back to the Edwardian period at Weybourne. Our stations are all lovingly restored with so much to discover, learn and reminisce about along the way.
With a ‘Hop-on-hop-off Rover ticket’ you can journey up and down our 5 1/2 mile preserved line as many time as you like throughout the day, so step back in time and enjoy a wonderful day out this half term holiday.
It really is more than just a train ride at the North Norfolk Railway.
For more information and to plan your day out visit our Website www.nnrailway.co.uk or contact our general office on firstname.lastname@example.org, 01263 820 800.
*Black Prince will be running subject to availability.

Calling all snappers, ‘click and goers’, amateurs and enthusiasts. We love seeing your photos of the railway, so for 2018 we will be running a ‘Photo of the month’ competition. The photo can be anything related to the railway, so whether its engines, stations, family days out or special events we want to see them!
To enter your image for February, just head to our facebook page and comment your picture on the photo competition post. The winning image will be chosen by us and shared on Facebook at the end of the month. If you know someone who'd like to take part, feel free to share this post and keep an eye open for our call for new entries at the start of each month.
There’s no prize just the kudos of being the best of the month. Good luck!

The North Norfolk Railway is delighted to welcome John Moorhouse’s ex S&DJR 7F no. 53809. The engine has been working on the West Somerset Railway for the past 22 months and we are looking forward to hosting the engine here for hopefully the foreseeable future.
This iconic engine, one of only two of its class in preservation arrived this morning and will be undergoing some valve and piston work prior to entering traffic for our main running season. We hope to have 53809 available for the spring gala, but this will depend on the progress of the MP works and available space within the Weybourne shed which is at present extremely busy.
