GWR 4-4-0 3440 City of Truro is based on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. This popular engine is scheduled to be in Norfolk for most of September, including our Steam Gala.

N2 0-6-2T 1744 - Copyright Rick EborallThe third locomotive last visited the NNR several years ago and has just returned to service following an extensive overhaul. N2 0-6-2T 1744 is based on the Great Central Railway. This locomotive will be a perfect match for the Quad-Art set. It is due to visit the railway specifically for our Steam Gala.

All three of these locos are due to join the home fleet for our Steam Gala. Details of this event can be found here including details of how to book. As usual a discount is available for advance bookings.

Dates, times and prices have now been confirmed for the 2009 Santa Specials. Details can be found on the Santa Specials page and bookings can be made here.

Work is progressing on the overhaul of B12 4-6-0 61572. This locomotive has now moved to Riley & Son at Bury where work is taking place to straighten the frames, whilst work continues on the boiler at Chatham. Meanwhile WD Austerity 2-10-0 90775 has been withdrawn from traffic. The loco requires repairs to the firebox which may require a boiler lift. N7 0-6-2T 69621 has returned to the railway facing Sheringham after its travels to various other railways. This is opening up a selection of new photographic locations for enthusiasts.
