Steam Galas

We plan to hold two Steam Galas during 2010.

Mixed Traffic Gala 5 - 6 June.
Grand Steam Gala 3 - 5 Spetember.

5/6th June Mixed Traffic Gala.

The mixed traffic gala will see a revised timetable operating. There will be a mix of Steam & Diesel Locomotives in use as well as the first runs of the railways class 101 DMU in original green livery. The National Railway Museum's LEV1 will also be in service over the weekend. It is hoped to have a few interesting train make ups operating, including a short demonstration freight train, making a return trip from Holt to Sheringham.

3 - 5 September Grand Steam Gala.

PLEASE NOTE: LMS 3F 47406 has been replaced by N2, 1744 owing to injector problems at the Great Central Railway

The NNR's late summer gala is the curtain raiser to similar events around the country. Showcasing a mix of visiting and home locomotives, it's as popular with visiting holidaymakers as it is with enthusiasts.
