Our Grand Steam Gala will feature an intensive timetable with a few unusual formations in service, it will also be an opportunity to see guest engines working alongside our own home fleet.

'Advance' Fares will be available up to a week before the event and will be available for purchase through the Online Shop, as explained below.

Tickets will also be available for purchase from the Ticket Offices at Sheringham, Weybourne and Holt on the day of travel.

All tickets are Rover tickets allowing unlimited travel on the day of validity.

'Family' groups can be formed of 2 Adults and 2 Children only, no £5 Family Vouchers will be available for this event.

Please note that only rover tickets will be valid for this event. No half journey or single tickets will be available and no discounts or concessions will be available.

Dogs and cycles are charged at £1 each for unlimited travel on that day.


If you wish to photograph our trains from the lineside, you will need to purchase one of our Lineside Photographic Passes. Please see here for more details.

Please note that being on the lineside or any non-public place without a lineside pass is trespassing, which is a prosecutable offence on the railways. Checks are made that people on the lineside hold a valid pass. 


A basic timetable for this event will be published to download in the run up to the event. Full working timetables will be available to purchace in a souvenir programme. 

How to Book

Tickets will be available for purchase at anytime through our online shop or by telephone from our General Office: 01263 820800 (Open for bookings 10am to 4pm daily whilst the railway is operating and between 10am and 4pm Monday to Friday when the railway is not operating.)
