National
Express East Anglia
National Express East Anglia is the new name for One Railway.
They are the train opearting company for this part of Norfolk
and they operate the main Norwich - Ipswich - London line.
Of possibly more interest is its local service between Sheringham
and Norwich which it has branded the Bittern Line. Through
tickets to the NNR are available from National Express East
Anglia.
The
Bittern Line The NNR is part of this partnership which exists to promote
rail travel in North Norfolk and also includes organizations such as One (Anglia)
Rail, Bure Valley Railway and the North Norfolk District Council. The partnership
operates guided walks, produces walks booklets and operates special days out at

A miniature railway between Wroxham and Aylsham.
Ashmanhaugh
Light Railway
A 7¼ inch gauge railway near Wroxham, within earshot
of the whistles of the Bure Valley Railway and within sight
of the Bittern Line trains.
Berney
Arms, Norfolk Probably one of the most isolated stations in the UK,
Rannoch Moor being the other that comes to mind. Just a pub and a railway station.
You can get there by boat or on foot but the nearest road is some two miles away.

By Rail The title of the web site, 'Norfolk by Rail', says it all! Norfolk
Orbital Railway The ambitious plan to link Sheringham with Melton Constable
and Fakenham to form a 'Norfolk Orbital Railway'. This would use Network Rail
together with NNR and MNR metals.

Gloucestershire
Warwickshire Railway
The Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is the home railway
of 9F 2-10-0 92203 Black Prince which visited the NNR
in 2007. The M&GN Society's J15 0-6-0 65462 is due to
visit the GWR at the end of 2007.
Furness
Railway Trust
The Furness Railway Trust own a number of locomotives including
Britain's oldest working standard gauge steam locomotive.
They also own GWR 56xx 0-6-2T 5643 which visited the NNR in
2007.
Epping
and Ongar Railway
The Epping and Ongar Railway is a group of volunteers who
are trying to open up the old detached portion of the Central
line which ran between Epping and Ongar.
