The re-development of Sheringham’s mainline station (not NNR) has unfortunately been delayed again. While the re-built station was planned to re-open today (16th May 2019) the new date for opening is planned for Wednesday 22nd May. Network rail have already been delayed due to faulty materials having been delivered, however, a rail replacement bus service will continue to link Sheringham, West Runton and Cromer stations until completion. A spokesman from Greater Anglia told the Eastern Daily Press “We apologise for any inconvenience resulting from this further delay to the restoration of the normal train service to Sheringham, following our major investment to improve the towns station. We are working very hard to complete the project as soon as we can, but there are a few final tasks to complete before the line can be re-opened and the normal service restored.
