The final locomotive roster on each day will include seven from the eight expected to be available with the planned spare engine likely to change between Saturday and Sunday so all eight are involved during the weekend.

Visiting Locomotive – Furness Railway No 20!

GWR No 4277 Hercules was built at the famous Swindon Locomotive works in 1920 and spent her life hauling heavy coal trains in South Wales.

GNR N2 No 1744 returned to service earlier this year following an eight-year, £800,000 overhaul. She is the oldest surviving locomotive designed by Sir Nigel Gresley.

Newstead – the lost engine was built in 1929 by the Hunslet Engine Co of Leeds and spent four decades hidden in a nunnery!

Wissington – Our smallest working locomotive “Wissington” was built in 1938 and spent her life at the British Sugar factory in Wissington and was the last working steam engine in East Anglia when she retired in 1977.

WD No 90775 The Royal Norfolk Regiment was built in Glasgow in 1943 for the Ministry of Supply. She briefly worked in Egypt before moving to Greece where she worked until 1979 before she was repatriated and preserved.

British Railways Standard 4MT 80080 was built at Brighton in 1964 and regularly worked commuter trains on the London, Tilbury and Southend line.

No 22 was built in 1956 to an “Austerity” design dating from WWII. She worked for the National Coal Board but currently sports the smart maroon colours of the United Steel Co where sister engines saw service.
