Step onboard the North Norfolkman Dining Train and enjoy a fine dining experience.
Your Dining trip will start as soon as you step onboard with a complimentary drink on arrival. The North Norfolkman will leave Sheringham Station heading over the level crossing and onto the national mainline network. The first part of the journey is along what remains of the old Midland & Great Northern line, skirting the picturesque North Norfolk Coastline, passing by the glacial remnants of ‘The Beeston Bump’ and continuing through the delightful station of West Runton with its national award-winning gardens and then on to the historical seaside town of Cromer.
At Cromer, the Dining train takes a short stop while the mainline train undertakes its regular service along the single track line, so there will be time to stretch your legs if you wish.
Once again you will be on the move, returning to Sheringham and then continuing the trip, this time bound for Holt, with the County’s finest coastal vistas on the right and rolling countryside on the left, one of the country views is of the grisly named ‘Dead Mans’. As you approach Weybourne you will see ‘Weybourne Mill’ complete with its four double shuttered sails and the coast guard cottages with their road running off the cliffs.
You will arrive at Holt station and, after a brief stop, the Dining Train then heads back down the track to Sheringham Station where we will bid you farewell until the next time.
Booking for dining trains is essential. Before your trip we will send you a menu for you to make your meal choices. We can cater for all dietary requirements so please make us aware of any when you book so that we can discuss alternatives with you.
The North Norfolkman travels with a fully licensed bar on board which serves a variety of wines, spirits, real ales, lagers, ciders and soft drinks.
Due to the layout of the dining carriages, parties of two may have to share tables. Tables of two will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
